Spring has almost sprung so when I want to look uber fresh and glowy I normally reach for something like a CC cream and I think I have found a winning combo. Sometimes I like to mix 2 products together to create something a bit more bespoke and when I mix the Estee Lauder Daywear Tint Release Moisturiser with the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream I just love the result!
The Estee Lauder moisturiser is light in colour but has some teeny tiny pigments in it that react when smoothed into the skin and adapt to your skin tone to give a healthy sunkissed look – holiday skin come at me! The coverage is minimal but it really helps to blur everything out and the smell is so fresh so it really perks you up in the morning. It’s perfect for holidays as a fuss free base for when you are just lazing around the pool and it has spf 15 in it too which is a great bonus. Sometimes, especially in the winter when I am super pasty, the colour can be a little too tinted for me and that’s where the 2nd part of this glowy combination comes into play…
This Bourjois CC cream has been on my shopping list for a while so, after picking it up, I couldn’t wait to get it on my face. The consistency of this one is quite runny compared to the Estee Lauder one and a little goes a long way. This one also has SPF 15 and has a light coverage but can easily be built up to a medium coverage, if you fancy. I have the colour ‘Ivory’ which isn’t that light but it works well with the tinted pigments from the tinted moisturiser. This CC Cream has 3 pigments for colour correction too; Apricot for anti-fatigue, Green for anti-redness and White for anti-dark spots. It really does neutralise all 3 and gives the skin a flawless finish whilst still looking glowy and skin like (my favourite kind of flawless). The smell kind of reminds me of violets too and it smells divine without being overpowering.
Together these are a match made in heaven for those days when you want a light coverage and a dewy I’ve-slept-for-a-thousand-years look.
