It’s spring you say? Time to crack out the spring mani! It doesn’t feel like spring just yet though (the sound of rain pouring is killing my spring vibes) but I’m going to start dressing like spring and then the weather will follow, right?
When I want a spring/summer nail it’s pastel colours that will always win. They’re cute, brighten up a plain outfit and make your hands look extra tanned – win! Two budget nail varnishes I have been loving at the moment are from the Maybelline Colour Show 60 Second range. The reason for my love for these is three fold. 1. They are nice and opaque 2. They’re think and creamy without being gloopy 3. They dry pretty quickly (I have a habit of painting my nails before I go to bed so this is a brucey bonus for me).
The first colour is ‘Pink Boom’ which is a classic Barbie style pink. It’s an easy to wear shade and makes me feel really girly every time I wear it, even with a t-shirt, jeans and trainers.
The second colour is ‘Canal Street Coral’ which is the perfect white based peachy orange. It makes my skin looked really tanned and just fills me with a little bit of sunshine every time I look down to my fingers tapping away at my keyboard.
I like to think of myself as a bit of a nail varnish connoisseur so I pretty much have every colour of the rainbow (you can see a post about my full collection here) but these 2 stand out as a real staple in my stash.
Do you have a favourite spring colour or perhaps you have a shade you love all year round? Any excuse to add to the collection!
