How to update your Autumn wardrobeSummer. Blink and we’ve missed it. Now that we’re well and truly into the Autumn season, it’s time to update our wardrobe and start adding in some key pieces to warm us up a bit. I’m yet to do my big winter shop and stock up on wooly jumpers and bobble hats but here are my 3 items I have recently added to my wardrobe and makeup stash to help me transition to Autumn

A Statement Coat

This might not be everyone’s cup of tea but, as soon as I saw this beautiful Topshop coat, I fell in love (those pesky Topshop stylists and their pretty pictures). The colour blocking is what drew me in. The black and grey with a big pop of pink and the yellow on the back sounds horrid on paper but, in reality, it somehow just works. The boyfriend fit and the long length makes this cosy enough on it’s own but has some extra room to layer up those thicker jumpers when the winter wind starts to kick in. For someone who loves their black and grey clothes, this coat goes with so many outfits and makes me feel extra fancy when I wear it.

Black Ankle Boots

I have wanted a pair of western inspired boots for so long and I love the silver buckle detail paired with the subtle croc leather of these Office ones. The heel is small enough to be comfortable but high enough so that I feel a little bit more put together compared to when I wear my trusty converse. When I first bought these I wasn’t sure if I looked more Kate Moss or Russel Brand, but now I’ve got used to them and bedded them in a bit, I want to wear them with everything. Heading off to buy a Leopard print coat now!

Office also have a very welcome voucher code for 20% discount off all full price orders this Halloween, just use the code TREAT at the checkout (don’t say I never give you anything!).

Autumnal Lipsticks

For a quick fix to catapult you into the Autumn vibes, just update your lippie. One I love right now is one of the Matte L’Oreal Colour Riche Lipsticks in the shade ‘Erotique’. It’s a warm brown-y red colour that’s not too dark so you can wear it everyday. Oh and it smells like Palma Violets, my fave! I like to layer over a lip liner and, to give any lipstick more of a berry tone I use the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in the colour ‘Under My Spell’. I love to stick on a matte lipstick whatever the weather but it’s all about the warm, rich autumnal tones when it comes to my makeup at the moment.

That’s me started in the Autumn transition so now it’s time to treat myself to a few extra bits and bobs, it would be rude not to right?!
