I’m a sucker for a bargain so when I see an affordable makeup item to add to my stash I can’t resist. The latest buy to fall into that category is the Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette. This isn’t an over the top glittery highlighting palette but it’s filled with 3 powders that aim to give your complexion a healthy, radiant glow.
There’s a neutral colour, a lighter slightly pink shade and then a more bronze-y colour. These powders are all super soft and feel really finely milled for such an affordable product. I tend to apply the first colour all over my face for a natural glow and if I want a lighter highlight I apply some of the middle powder on my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and on my brow bone. The bronze colour comes in handy if I’m wanting to go all out and ramp up the glow factor; I add this to the darker dimensions of my face after bronzing.
If you are looking for a strobing palette then this probably isn’t the one for you but if you are wanting a ‘lit from within’ kind of look that’s natural enough for everyday makeup then this palette would be ideal for you. The lasting power isn’t the best but for the price and the subtle finish I don’t think it’s a bad buy.
I wanted to mention the packaging because although it’s simple, it does the job well and doesn’t get mucky like some of the matte packaging that’s around at the moment. There’s a big mirror in the lid too which is a Brucey bonus!
I have to admit that I’m still wanting to get the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette so I may have to save my pennies for a little while longer before I decide to splurge.
Have you tried any glow inducing products that you would recommend?
